Building the next generation of intelligent networks and applications.

The heart of tomorrow’s networks
Data networks have continued to see a rapid pace of innovation. The past twenty years have seen data networks progress beyond an interconnected set of specialised hardware technologies, to open, programmable and intelligent platforms, which not only have increased the speed and capacity of networks but also opened the provision of many new services and applications. Our research in the Intelligent Networks and Applications Lab (iNAL) spans across three key areas: Application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) in wired and wireless networks; performance investigation, analysis and modelling; and prototyping of intelligent networking technologies and applications.
Our facilities

Software defined network servers and test-bed.
The Intelligent Networks and Applications Lab is equipped with advanced equipment to enable hardware-based, emulation-based, and simulation-based studies for a diverse range of networking technologies and applications. Among our facilities are a variety of high-performance servers, switching and routing equipment.
