Teacher Professional Learning
The Maths Inside project is developing resources to help teachers bring maths to life for high school students, addressing the problem of dwindling numbers of learners taking advanced maths and science in schools and university study. The material in this section links to a video highlighting the experience of teachers in delivering Maths Inside resources, the project’s professional learning material, and project material presented at a recent educational conference.
KWS Mathematics: Maths in Society video
Kinross Wolaroi School Mathematics teachers are supported in their teaching with video case studies showing stories of how mathematics is used to solve real and pressing world problems. The resources created by the UTS Maths Inside team align with the National Mathematics curriculum for years 8-12; highlighting the links between maths as studied in schools and the maths used in real-world problem-solving.
