The Maths Inside team
Our work is funded by a Federal Government AMSPP grant, and the collaboration includes UTS, CSIRO and the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers.
Mary Coupland, Project Director
Dr Mary Coupland is Director of the Mathematics and Science Study Centre at UTS, which provides learning support for students from all faculties. She conducts research in the transition to university, and in the learning experiences of students at all levels to inspire engagement with mathematics.
Anne Prescott, Project Director
Associate Professor Anne Prescott is the coordinator of primary and secondary mathematics teacher education as well as the Master of Teaching (secondary) at UTS. Her research areas include mathematics education, teacher learning and development, and project-based learning.
Marco Angelini, Project Manager
Dr Marco Angelini is the Project Manager for Maths Inside. His professional background is in academic skills development and the transition to higher education; his research interests include student engagement and philosophical thought.
Sandy Schuck
Sandy Schuck is a Professor of Education and Director of Research Training at UTS, and co-directs the STEM Education Futures Research Centre. Her research interests include maths education, technology-enhanced learning and teacher professional learning.
Jason Stanley
Jason Stanley contributed to the project as the curriculum developer for Pathways to Maths
