The University of Technology Sydney offers a variety of lab and technical options for hire across multiple buildings and campuses. These are just some of those spaces:
Science Super Lab
Our Science Super Lab is one of only two in Australia. It was modelled on the Super Lab at London Metropolitan University, however, the design has been adapted to meet the specific requirements of the UTS Faculty of Science.
The lab consists of 25 workbenches, which each seat eight students. This allows for up to 200 students in the Super Lab at one time. Featuring modern equipment and technology, each student has a monitor in front of them which will show a combination of information from the demonstrator station as well student’s own data input from their bench computer.
Science Lab
UTS Faculty of Science has several laboratories dedicated to teaching and learning. Each laboratory is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments used in research, industry and commercially. Our Science laboratories have modern scientific and analytical instruments, electronic lecterns and computers. The Science labs range in size from 25 to 68 capacity.

Anatomy Lab
The Surgical and Anatomical Science Facility has a world-class suite of training and support laboratories. The lab has specimen viewing and preparation areas, fitted with cutting edge equipment and technologies.
The facilities are equipped to meet the needs of modern surgical industry suppliers as well as supporting medical skills updating programs.
All our facilities are also well equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment, which includes both “at workstation” video as well as large screen monitors at the room periphery to support
larger training groups.

Moot Courts and Trial Courts
Located within the new Central building, UTS Moot Court and Trial Courts are designed to reflect the real-life courtroom experience of the NSW Supreme and District Courts.
The Courtrooms simulate the real-world legal proceedings that take place in NSW. These new spaces are fitted with modern technologies now found in Australian courts, including video link-ups for remote witness testimony.

Nursing labs
The UTS Nursing Faculty is home to several clinical practice labs that have been set up to mimic real hospital environments. Briefing areas open onto clinical spaces furnished with patient beds and a wide variety of medical equipment.
Our award-winning simulation facilities and clinical skills laboratories have been purpose-built and designed to create engaging and exciting learning opportunities, as well as support clinical development in nursing and midwifery, but have the potential for all types of learning including speech pathology, pathophysiology, pharmacy, genetic counselling and physiotherapy.
ProtoSpace
UTS ProtoSpace is Australia's most advanced additive manufacturing facility.
The ProtoSpace gives you access to advanced 3D printing and scanning technologies along with specialised technical support, linked education and engagement opportunities. ProtoSpace is your link to UTS's Advanced Manufacturing capabilities.
The lab supports all aspects of the design process, from component design, manufacturing investigations and prototyping all the way through to final product research and development.
Data Arena
The UTS Data Arena is a powerful immersive facility that can help researchers, business and government simplify complex information. Users in the arena can surround themselves in data to observe, explore, refine, improve, discover and learn.
This 360-degree interactive data visualisation facility is changing the way we view and interact with data.
Viewers stand in the middle of a large cylindrical screen, four metres high and ten metres in diameter. A high-performance computer graphics system creates a seamless three-dimensional panorama.
To complement the visual experience, speakers fitted behind the perforated screen allow sound to be positioned in 3D space.

Data Lounge
The UTS Data Lounge provides users with a multi-purpose meeting and training room equipped with powerful visualisation display and interactive tools, designed to help groups explore and interpret ideas.
Equipped with a multi-user, multi-touch interactive LCD video wall and host for virtual applications, UTS Data Lounge enables access to the next generation of visualisation and collaboration technology to expand the way we understand, interact, collaborate and make decisions with data.
The Data Lounge can be used for a variety of data-led activities including short courses, workshops, presentations and data visualisation.
UTS Gallery
UTS Gallery is a unique venue available for both exhibitions and one-off events. An ideal space for cocktail parties, networking events, book launches, workshops and seminars, the Gallery is a dynamic and creative environment for small functions, which are complemented by the scheduled exhibition. The Gallery is 174m² with access to an external courtyard. It can accommodate up to 120 guests depending on the layout of the current exhibition.
Media labs
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is home to cutting edge equipment and facilities that include a large 80 seat film and performance studio, video editing suites, sound recording and VR suites to name a few. These spaces have been custom built to support creative practice and give you access to the latest sound, lighting and film technologies.
