Evidence-based education for healthcare professionals
About
Although healthcare professionals are committed to evidenced based practice this has, for the most part, not translated to a rigorous examination of educational practices and outcomes.
Distinguished Professor Tracy Levett-Jones' program of research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of curricula interventions and examining the impact of healthcare education on clinical practice.
This research is designed to inform, influence, and potentially improve patient outcomes, and improve the quality of teaching and learning for healthcare students.
Distinguished Professor Levett-Jones research interests include:
- patient safety
- planetary health
- empathy
- clinical reasoning
- the student experience (including preparation for practice, transition, and retention)
