Bachelor of Global Studies – transition Information

Please be assured that subjects will be offered to allow you to complete your degree, however the Bachelor of Global Studies core subjects will have a date by which you have to complete them as set out in the below table.  In order to complete your degree on time we strongly recommend that you enrol to a full time load if at all possible.

Please note that the information in the below table is subject to change as it will depend on enrolment numbers. If changes are made to the below timeline, we will advise you of those changes.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What if I haven’t completed all of the subjects in my Major?

For subjects within your major, we have been in contact with the owning Faculties and they have confirmed that you should complete these subjects as per the recommended pattern of enrolment. Any future changes relating to the availability of these subjects will be communicated to you, and you will be included in any transition plans.

Students in the Communication Studies major will find that some of the subjects in their major have changed, this is due to changes which have taken place in the Bachelor of Communication degrees.

I’m currently overseas and can’t come into Australia, how will I complete my subjects?

For 2022 the Global Studies core subjects will be delivered online. Beyond 2022, when we hope Government travel restrictions and public health orders ease, there is the expectation that students will come back onto Campus to study. 

Can I still change my major or sub-majors?

You will still be able to request a change to your sub-major provided you have not already completed the sub-major, and the subjects you have already completed can be moved to other parts of your degree.

Requests to change your major will not be approved, as changing your major now will delay your course completion.

What if I am unable to complete the core subjects by the last offering listed in the table?

We strongly encourage you to complete your degree by studying the Global Studies core subjects.
