At the completion of your degree, any student accounts you have transition to alumni accounts and files are deleted within 30 days of conferral. Be sure to follow the information below to ensure you don’t lose your documents.
UTS Alumni account
IT transition from student to alumni accounts
Once your degree or award is conferred, you’re officially a graduate of UTS. Your student account will automatically transition to an alumni account and your student email will convert to an alumni email address.
IT systems
With an alumni account, you won’t be able to access the IT systems provided to you as a student, including MS 365 (Word, Excel, One Drive etc.) and Google (Google drive, Google docs etc.).
If you re-enrol the following session of study in a new award program of study at UTS, this will no longer apply, and you’ll continue to maintain your student access.
What should I do?
When you finish your studies, you should move any files you wish to keep to your own personal device or accounts as soon as possible.
How long do I have?
All files are deleted within 4 weeks of conferral and cannot be retrieved.
Your alumni email
Your student email will automatically be converted to an alumni email and your student inbox will automatically move to your new alumni inbox 90 days after your degree has been conferred.
Your alumni email address will have your name and end in alumni.uts.edu.au eg. firstname.lastname@alumni.uts.edu.au
You’ll continue to have access to Outlook, Zoom and Canvas using your UTS alumni email address.
You’ll need to use your alumni email address to log into the UTS systems you’ll continue to have access to. You may also want to use the email address to apply for jobs or connect with other UTS alumni.
