What should I do now?
- Refer to your course’s Subject Availability Table to plan your 2024 enrolment.
- Go to MyStudentAdmin to enrol into your required subjects. See the UTS Principal Dates for the deadline last day to be admitted and enrol (add subjects) for each session.
I’ve seen an 8-credit-point subject in another faculty that I’d like to do an elective - can I choose this?
If you find a postgraduate subject that you want to do as an elective, but which isn’t included in your elective choice block, you can submit an eRequest to ask the School if you can take it or not. First, check if it is an 8-credit-point subject, and make sure it a postgraduate level. Then submit an eRequest to ask if the School of Communication will give you approval to study this as an elective. (All requests are subject to consideration by the School).
I’m enrolled in the Master course – can I graduate out earlier with a Graduate Diploma instead?
If you are enrolled in the Master course and wish to graduate earlier, one option available to you is to gradate with the Graduate Diploma. You can apply for a course transfer (graduating). You should lodge your completed application to an online enquiry via Ask UTS.
What if I can’t complete by the specified deadline?
Students who have not completed the courseby the phasing out deadline will be managed on a case-by-case by the relevant Responsible Academic Officer (RAO). They will provide advice on alternative arrangements that the student may wish to pursue at UTS or elsewhere. This may include Open University. Please submit an Ask UTS Enquiry if you need to be referred to the RAO.
Who can I talk to if I have any questions about my study plan or enrolments?
All inquiries should be directed to the UTS Student Centre in the first instance. This is to ensure that issues can be monitored and escalated to the School if required.
