What you'll study
Explore how to analyse and interpret complex socio-technical systems using data science frameworks and models with a human-centric lens.
Learn to critically assess contemporary data science trends, deal with ambiguity, and extract valuable insights from data.
In a transdisciplinary environment - working with peers from all walks of life - you will develop problem-solving strategies, design data investigations, and communicate findings to diverse audiences.

Students must complete 48 credit points, comprised of 24 credit points of compulsory subjects and 24 credit points from the suite of streams.

Year 1
In your first year you’ll study Machine Learning Algorithms and Applications and Statistical Thinking for Data Science. You will also choose 8 credit points from a comprehensive suite of electives, which gives you the flexibility to shape your path and pursue your interests and career aspirations. You can also apply for credit points to work on your projects or complete a relevant internship. -
Year 2
In your second year, you’ll study Data Science Practice. You’ll also choose between Applied Natural Language Processing, Big Data Engineering and Deep Learning, as well as an additional elective.
