What you'll study

Explore how to analyse and interpret complex socio-technical systems using data science frameworks and models with a human-centric lens.

Learn to critically assess contemporary data science trends, deal with ambiguity, and extract valuable insights from data.

In a transdisciplinary environment - working with peers from all walks of life - you will develop problem-solving strategies, design data investigations, and communicate findings to diverse audiences.

Students must complete 48 credit points, comprised of 24 credit points of compulsory subjects and 24 credit points from the suite of streams.

    In your first year you’ll study Data Science for Innovation, Leading Data Science Initiatives and Machine Learning Algorithms.  You will also choose 24 credit points from a comprehensive suite of electives, which gives you the flexibility to shape your path and pursue your interests and career aspirations. You can also apply for credit points to work on your projects or complete a relevant internship.
