If you are an alumni of the finance Honours program you might also find our past finance Honours students page useful to maintain contact with some of your past colleagues. Similarly, alumni who completed their PhD with the Finance Department may also find the past finance PhD student's page useful. Networking and reunions
The Finance Department provides many opportunities for networking. From panel discussions, masterclasses, forums, industry seminars, research showcases and research seminars. For details on upcoming events then please monitor our news feed. One of our regular panel discussions held several times a year has a focus on ethics in finance. If you are interested in be involved in this panel discussion then please contact Dr Gerhard Hambusch. You might also want to link up a broader international UTS alumni community or a UTS alumni network.
In December 2019 the Finance Department held its first Finance Honours Celebration and Reunion for students who have graduated from the Finance honours program at UTS. The reunion also doubled as an opportunity for the 2019 finance Honours class to celebrate completion of a challenging year of study. It is expected that this will become an annual event. If you are one of our Honours alumni then please send us your contact details if you would like to receive information on future reunions.
Volunteering and mentoring
What is your skill set and experience? Do you think you could assist existing UTS students in their transition into the workforce? One way of doing this is through our Finance Honours program. As part of the Honours program we run regular industry seminars and we also provide industry mentors to each of our students. If you think you could contribute then please contact the Honours co-ordinator, Dr Vitali Alexeev. We also attempt maintain a strong engagement with industry. Industry engagement has always been a strength of UTS and we want to continue to build on this tradition. We make extensive use of industry mentors and industry guest speakers. This helps to keep our research relevant to industry and gives our students a strong industry focus. If you would like to participate in our industry mentor program or volunteer you skills and industry experience as a guest lecturer in one of our courses then please contact our Engagement team.
UTS clubs and societies
UTS has over 130 clubs and societies. These can be a great way for UTS alumni to remain engaged with the UTS community. From capoeira to chess, FinTech to food appreciation, no matter where your interests lie there is probably a club for you.
