UTS became a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA) academic partner in 2013.
CAIA Academic Partner
The UTS–CAIA partnership recognises the Alternative Investments course taught by the Finance Department and the CAIA membership of our full-time academic staff. There are four prestigious CAIA Exam scholarships awarded to students each semester through a competitive process.
The mission of the CAIA Association is to improve investment and societal outcomes of capital allocation through professional education, transparency, and thought leadership across all investor alternatives in the industry. The UTS-CAIA academic partnership informs our curriculum in the area of alternative investments. Our courses thereby provide students with current industry-related content presented in an academic framework.
The CAIA Association, a non-profit organization founded in 2002, is the world leader and authority in alternative investment education. The CAIA Association is best known for the CAIA Charter®, an internationally recognized credential granted upon successful completion of a rigorous two-level exam series, combined with relevant work experience. Earning the CAIA Charter is the gateway to becoming a member of the CAIA Association, a global network of more than 13,000 alternative investment leaders located in 100+ countries, who have demonstrated a deep and thorough understanding of alternative investing. Having grown rapidly, the CAIA Association now supports vibrant chapters located in financial centres around the world and sponsors more than 250 educational and networking events each year.
