- Engagement and business development functions are well connected across UTS and advance under a common strategy
- Have a customer relationship management system that is used and provides UTS-wide view of engagement activities and opportunities
- Academics understand who is available to support them and how to contact these resources
Example activities
- Sector-based engagement—explore the benefits of adopting an industry lens across engagement activities
- Knowledge exchange framework—develop a framework to facilitate knowledge exchange with external stakeholders and end users
- Roles review—review various business development and engagement roles across UTS
Achievements to date
- High rankings in the Australian Research Council’s Engagement and Impact Assessment
- Developed research engagement canvas and rolled-out research engagement workshops
- Expanded use of Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) system
