The KTP program supports UTS researchers to engage internationally, contributing to enhancing the quality and impact of UTS research, and creating global social benefit.
International research collaboration
What can I gain from international research collaboration?
- Contributes to research excellence and impact
- Expand international networks
- Develop joint research ideas
- Complementarity of expertise
- Produce jointly authored papers with academic experts
- Access to international funding
- Recruitment of high quality research students
- Cross-cultural understanding/inter-disciplinary experience
We encourage UTS and KTP academics to engage virtually to collaborate on joint publications, explore joint applications for external grants, and co-supervision of PhD students under the collaborative doctoral degree agreements. Building collaborations may also help solidify future proposals for when travel is feasible.
Here is how you can start:
- Identify a collaborator is the first step towards successful academic collaboration.
- Thinking of applying for joint external funding? The KTP program can support you through the process.
- Collaborate with a Key Technology Partner academic to supervise PhD students — and follow new paths for research.
KTP is a fantastic initiative that gives an opportunity for researchers to come to UTS and establish new research collaborations. In my opinion, having an initial face-to-face meeting with researchers is an efficient way to discuss ideas and plan future projects.
