Expression of Interest (EOI) - Indigenous Employment
About the UTS EOI
Under the Wingara Indigenous Employment Strategy 2019-2023, each faculty and division aims to achieve 3% Indigenous employment with the strategies to achieve these targets outlined in their Indigenous Employment Plans. In accordance with the UTS Staff Agreement, Clause 35.8 states:
The UTS lndigenous employment target is 3% of full-time equivalent (FTE) continuing and fixed-term staff, and the University will make best endeavours to employ at least 100 FTE continuing and fixed-term staff who are lndigenous Australian people within the life of the Agreement.
UTS has achieved a 2.1% Indigenous staff participation rate, with approximately 35 more Indigenous people to be employed to reach the 3% target, based on current staffing levels as of December 2023. To increase the number of Indigenous employees at UTS, the Office of the PVC (Indigenous Leadership and Engagement), in partnership with the People Unit, launched an Expression of Interest (EOI) Talent Register.
