- Research systems have high level of system support with a dedicated ITU team
- Research data are well curated, robust, analysed and accessible to the research community
- Seamless data integration between each of the research systems
- We use our research data to give us a competitive advantage through informed decision making
- UTS staff are digitally and data literate and routinely use data insights to make strategic decisions
- Research data management is valued as a fundamental component of research excellence

- Research Application Model—develop business case to establish new management model for research IT systems
- Research systems roadmap—develop long term plan for Research Master and other major research systems
- Data governance framework—develop improved framework and policy around data management
Achievements to date
- Launched enhancements to MyResearcher Dashboard
- Established Research Systems Board to ensure a joined-up approach to systems management
- Preparation for launch of Research Master major system release (version 7) with new functionality and user interface
- Embedding data management practices and enhancements to STASH system
- Created Data Analyst and API Developer positions in the Research Office
