Looking after you
If you’re looking for a helping hand, UTS has a variety of services to support you while you’re studying at uni.
Counselling service
Need someone to talk to? UTS offers confidential counselling service to help with a wide range of personal, psychological, study-related and administrative difficulties. Services include help with appeals and support, complaints advice, individual and couples counselling, group work and workshops.
U:PASS
We know that some subjects at university can be difficult. U:PASS is a student learning program designed to assist you in studying these subjects. It is available to all students and the sessions are less formal.
Maths and Science Study Centre
Whether you’d like extra help with your subjects or just want somewhere different to study, you can drop in to the Mathematics and Science Study Centre. Staff members are available in the drop-in room at scheduled timetable for one-to-one assistance. The Centre also runs workshops during session and in final exam period to support your preparation for assessments.
Bridging courses
Not confident with where you’re at in science or maths? We offer bridging courses in chemistry, maths, and physics. If you’re entering tertiary studies without the recommended knowledge, these can help you narrow the gap between high school and university.
University life
The transition between high school and university can be daunting, so we’re here to help. Outside of your classes, making friends and pursuing new interests are some of the most rewarding experiences university has to offer.
UTS has over 100 clubs and societies on campus, along with bars, cafés and a range of sporting facilities. To ensure you feel confident and supported, we have services to help you with areas such as housing, financial aid, making friends, health, cultural issues and career development.
Staying safe on campus
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. UTS security staff are on campus 24/7 to assist you with any safety or security matter.
