Data security at UTS and your responsibilities
All students must use UTS IT resources responsibly, including accounts and platforms, ensuring that their use complies with UTS policies, and state and federal legislation requirements.
Part of your responsibilities is to protect your passwords so make sure you never reveal these to anyone – you may be breaching university policies if you do.

Have you ever visited a website that asks you to download a ‘player’, ‘codec’ or ‘browser update’ before viewing a video online? Check out Have I Been Pwned? (opens an external site) to see whether your email address has ever been part of a known data breach. Don't panic if you find your account on a list here – data breaches are far more common than we like to think, but reading our guide on password security will help keep your data secure.
