Every Higher Degree Research (HDR) student should have the opportunity to explore the entrepreneurial potential of their research. The Research Entrepreneurship program empowers PhD and Masters by research students to consider commercialisation opportunities from the outset of their research journey.
We understand that many HDR students pursue their research out of passion and interest, often without considering the potential for commercialisation. Our program equips students with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the commercialisation process. By starting with this lens, students can align their research with potential future opportunities, making the transition to entrepreneurship smoother and less daunting.
In addition to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, our program helps students develop a wide range of transferable skills that will serve them well in their future careers. These skills include:
Effective communication for conferences, panel talks, and podcasts
Self-promotion and research promotion techniques
On-stage presence and public speaking
Writing for print and social media
