Your UTS app dashboard has several customisation options to make accessing your apps even easier.

  • Enable your 'Recently Used' apps
  • Re-order your apps
  • Use 'Sections' to group your apps together
  • Download the Okta dashboard mobile app

Enable the 'Recently Used' Applications feature

View and access your 2-6 most recently used applications (depending on browser width) by enabling the 'Recently Used' feature. Click on the collapsible menu below for instructions on enabling 'Recently Used'.

Enabling 'Recently Used' (click to expand)

  • On the Okta dashboard (login.uts.edu.au) click on the drop-down arrow in the top right corner of the screen:

  • Select ‘Preferences’:

  • Click on the ‘Recently used’ toggle button:

  • You will now see the ‘Recently Used’ section at the top of your dashboard:

  • After enabling the feature, ‘Recently Used’ will display your last 2-6 applications visited (depending on browser width):

Drag and Drop to Re-Order Your Apps

In the 'Sections' view mode you can reposition any app by clicking, holding down and dragging a tile to a new location:

Note: You can switch between 'Sections' view mode and other automated sorting views: 'Name ascending', 'Name descending', and 'Last added'.

Use ‘Sections’ to Create Custom App Groups

You can group and re-order your app by creating custom sections. Group them by theme, or create a manual group of your most frequently used apps.

Creating and Managing sections (click to expand)

  • All applications start off in the ‘Work’ section by default [1]. Click on ‘Add Section +’ in the left-hand nav menu [2] to create a new one:

  • Note: You can also use the “+ Add section” shortcut underneath your app display [3] to create a new section:

  • Give the new section a name that’s meaningful to you. You might like to group by theme (e.g. ‘Classroom’, ‘Research’, ‘Admin’, ‘Finance’ etc.), or perhaps around use (e.g. ‘My most frequent’):

  • Drag and drop your apps to add and re-order apps in your new section:

Screenshot of an empty section with a text label 'Drag apps to this section' and a 'Remove section' button
  • Note: You can have up to 5 custom sections, and can only delete a section once it is empty. Drag and drop apps out of the section you wish to remove to clear it first.

  • You can re-order sections by dragging and dropping to reposition them from the left nav menu:

Okta Mobile app

Okta Mobile is the mobile app that lets you easily access all of your UTS applications on a mobile phone or tablet. The Okta Mobile app can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple iOS app store. Note: This app is different to the Okta Verify app that is used for verification when logging in.

  • Sleek display of all UTS applications on your mobile device
  • Enables you to quickly move between applications
  • Search and find UTS systems easily
