To access UTS applications alumni will need to reset their passwords using their full alumni email address
Alumni reset password
Existing passwords on alumni accounts are no longer accepted and need to be updated to a stronger, unique password. Updating your password makes your account more secure, and protects UTS from risk.
Reset your password now
When accessing UTS systems such as Outlook you will need to enter your full name alumni email address.
Your full name email address usually includes your first name and last name, and may include an additional initial or number e.g. jane.citizen@alumni.uts.edu.au, jane.g.citizen@alumni.uts.edu.au, jane.citizen-1@alumni.uts.edu.au.
When setting your password we recommend you always use a strong and unique password.
- Your password must be 8 to 16 character long with no spaces. It can only contain letters, numbers and symbols and must contain at least one of each.
Do not use your UTS Student ID number. - If you have previously chosen security questions and answers, you will be prompted to answer them to reset your password.

'New sign-on notification' email
After signing on from a new device, browser or application that Okta doesn't recognise you should expect to receive an email from the UTS Identity Team (login-noreply@uts.edu.au). These emails serve as another validation tool for you to keep your account secure.
- If it was you who just signed in then no action needs to be taken.
- If it didn't just log in, then select the green 'Report Suspicious Activity' button to notify the UTS IT Security team.
It's important to act on these emails as it serves as notifies you that someone that shouldn’t be is trying to access your account.
Note: Your location for this email is based on the information provided by your internet provider - not Okta.
