How to access your UTS Zoom account

1. Go to the website zoom.uts.edu.au (opens an external website) using a web browser on your computer, laptop or mobile device

2. Login with your UTS Student ID or Staff ID and IT password

First time login to Zoom

3. If this is your first use of your UTS Zoom account, or if the terms have changed, you will asked confirm your information is shared with utsmeet.zoom.us (opens an external website).

At this point you are:

  • Agreeing to UTS Zoom Terms and Conditions, and
  • Acknowledge the UTS Zoom Privacy Notice, and
  • Share information with the UTS Zoom service partners

4. Select accept

5. You will next be prompted to set-up download and install the Zoom Meeting Client on computer or the Zoom App on mobiles.

Set up Zoom on your computer ( client) or for mobile (app)

You will need to have Zoom Meeting Client on a computer or laptops (PC or Mac) or the Zoom App on mobile devices (tablets, mobiles) using Apple iOS or Android. 

Set-up Zoom Meetings for your computer

If need to set-up Zoom App for your computer (PC or Mac)

1. Download Zoom Client for Meetings for your computer

  • Microsoft Windows PC
  • Apple Mac OSX

2. Click Sign In with SSO:

3. Enter utsmeet when prompted for the company domain:

4. You may asked to enter your UTS Student ID or UTS Staff ID and password if you had not logged in earlier.

Set-up Zoom App Client on a Mobile Device

If need to set-up Zoom App for your computer (Apple iOS or Android)

1. Download Zoom Mobile App for:

  • App for iPhone
  • App for Android

2. Click Sign In with SSO:

3. Enter utsmeet when prompted for the company domain:

4. You may asked to enter your UTS Student ID or UTS Staff ID and password if you had not logged in earlier.

 

Access Zoom via Canvas

You can also access your Zoom links via your Canvas Subject site if your Subject coordinator has switched on the Zoom in Canvas feature. You can find more information on how to do this in the To Log into Zoom via Canvas section on the Zoom page. 

Customise your Zoom profile

Your Zoom display name

Zoom uses your first name (or preferred first name if you have one) and surname from My Student Admin as your display name for UTS classes, appointments and events.

If you need to add or update your preferred first name, submit a change of student details application.

Your Zoom display picture

Click on your profile picture to add an image or change your current one. (On a mobile-device app: click on the arrow > next to your profile picture). You can upload an image up to 2MB and adjust the crop area before saving it.
