Honours
Courses offered
- Bachelor of Public Health (Honours)
- Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours)
- Bachelor of Nursing (Honours)
- Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science (Honours)
The Honours programs provide the opportunity for eligible graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery, Bachelor of Public Health, Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science and Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Management to extend their skills and understanding of the research process.
The course places nursing and midwifery research within the professional, philosophical, historical, social, cultural and political contexts of midwifery and nursing practice. It can be used to prepare for a research career or to develop higher level program management and data analytical skills that may be applied directly to practices as a sport and exercise scientist.
It is an opportunity to produce a substantial piece of work, conduct research and or explore research data in an area of interest at much more depth and more independently than has been possible in previous undergraduate studies
The Honours Program is regarded as a research apprenticeship and requires an extensive commitment from students. The responsibility for your work has now shifted to you.
