What you'll study

This program can be completed in as little as 18 months. You’ll undertake a variety of core units, acquiring an advanced understanding of the science, theory and approaches that underpin high performance sports. 

You’ll study the foundations of high performance science and athlete preparation across a range of domains, developing the vital capabilities to help you become a leader in this field and pursue your choice of disciplinary pathway. As a nested course, you can opt to exit early with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.

  1. First year

    You’ll begin your degree by completing an array of core subjects, developing your knowledge of areas like high performance science, conditioning, leadership and talent management. You’ll also commence your pathway studies, engaging in professional practice or attaining foundational research skills.
  2. Second year

    This year, you’ll conclude your core units, covering areas like coaching, performance analysis and injury management. You’ll also wrap up your specialised learning through your pathway, preparing for a future career in research or a hands-on profession within high performance sport.
