C04300 Master of Clinical Psychology
To take advantage of the opportunity to apply direct to UTS without paying an application fee, all applicants must bring the Original or JP certified copies of the documents listed below.
** Please note: All non-Australian qualifications must be assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) as equivalent to an Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four-year undergraduate sequence. APS assessment is a requirement for admission to the Master of Clinical Psychology and for provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
Required documents
1. An official academic transcript or record of study
a. Transcripts printed from institution websites will not be accepted.
b. Applicants in their final undergraduate semester should submit their most up to date transcript and evidence of enrolment in final subjects.
2. Evidence of name change if applicable
3. Personal statement
a. A personal statement acts as a cover letter and should be between 100-500 words.
b. It should outline why an applicant is applying for the degree, what makes them a suitable candidate, and how their skills and experiences are relevant to this field of study/career pathway.
4. Online referees report form
a. Must be submitted online by the referee, independent of the applicant but within two weeks of application submission.
b. Each applicant must have two referees.
c. Referees may be previous or current thesis or course supervisors, previous or current clinical supervisors, supervisors at work or other academic or professional persons. At least one referee should be a clinical psychologist or person working in a closely related field. It is essential that each applicant have one academic and one professional referee.
d. The online referees report will be available when applications open.
Additional requirements for International applicants:
1. Qualifications completed overseas must first be assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (opens an external site)
a. Applications cannot be accepted until the Australian Psychological Society has verified qualifications.
2. Proof of English proficiency if medium of instruction at undergraduate level was not in English.
a. Minimum requirement: IELTS 7.0 overall with a writing score of 7.0 or equivalent
3. Passport.
International students without all of the correct documentation should apply directly to UTS International.
