The school is aligned and collaborates with three research centres.
Our Research Centres
Robotics Institute
The UTS Robotics Institute is internationally renowned for leadership in research, development and commercial application of intelligent robotic systems. The centre is devoted to fundamental research, applied research and research translation in the areas of field and service robotics, and human-centred robotics.
Centre for Advanced Manufacturing
The UTS Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) supports Australian manufacturers on this journey, helping them to embrace digital transformation and drive increased self-sufficiency/on-shoring of manufacturing.
Centre for Audio, Acoustics and Vibration
The Centre for Audio, Acoustics and Vibration conducts fundamental and frontier research to promote in-depth understanding of the generation, radiation, propagation, receiving and perception of sound and vibration and put academic findings to use for social and economic impact. Researchers are breaking new ground in advanced measurements in bioacoustics sensing and detection, micro-vibrations and micro-acoustics, 3D sound field modelling, reproduction and control, noise and vibration control, machine diagnostics, acoustic and biogenic/bio-inspired materials and metamaterials/ metasurfaces, structures for space and lightweight design, network designs for signal transmission and analysis, signal processing and pattern recognition in speech, music, biology, physics, medical applications, transportation, space and defence.
