Outreach and community
The school maintains a strong external focus through offering a range of outreach activities, workshops and events for schools and the broader community, and playing a significant part in the faculty’s broader outreach programs.
Our focus is global, and we share our expertise with students across the globe through the faculty’s extensive offshore teaching and learning programs.
We proactively seek out collaboration with industry, government and community across our teaching and research, and our staff are active participants in mentoring and advisory partnerships. We cultivate life-long engagement with our alumni, resulting in mutually beneficial partnerships that enhance our research, teaching, and student access to mentoring and industry placement opportunities.
The school is committed to building greater representation of women in the fields of engineering and IT, and our staff promote and foster opportunities for women through the faculty’s acclaimed Women in Engineering and IT program.
