Learn the value of collaboration
Your dream job probably doesn't involve working on your own. Even if it does, the reality is that when you get out into industry you'll need the know-how to work with other people across other disciplines and professions. This is equally for fashion designers as it is for architects and construction project managers.
This collaborative approach underpins all of our courses, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We replicate the project-team environment found in industry through our studio and block-class approach. This allows you to collaborate on projects with your peers, including those from other disciplines. Our School of Design courses even have a specific interdisciplinary stream where you get to work with designers from across the school.
Developing tomorrow’s designers
All undergraduate design students participate in the Interdisciplinary Design Studies stream. The stream aims to develop students’ thinking as designers. It draws on critical, creative and theoretical perspectives to develop students’ abilities to consider socially complex design issues from multiple perspectives
