Distinguished Professor Jie Lu, an internationally-renowned AI researcher in computational intelligence, is leading an ARC Laureate project to revolutionise industries that rely on data-driven decisions with autonomous machine learning algorithms.
As the first UTS recipient of the prestigious ARC Laureate Fellowship, Professor Lu and her research team will improve autonomous machine learning for data-driven decision-making across multiple industries. Novel theories, methodologies and algorithms are being developed to enable computational intelligence and machine learning from big data in massive, uncertain and dynamic situations.
The Australian Laureate Fellowship scheme recognises outstanding researchers and leaders of an international calibre in ground-breaking research areas and is funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council.
