Sponsored positions
How do sponsored research positions work?
By sponsoring a research position at UTS you will be supporting a role that will strategically benefit both your company and the university. The nuts and bolts of the appointment will always be tailored to your specific requirements.
Options for sponsorship include:
- PhD student – You provide an annual stipend for the student (typically for 3.5 years) and an amount for related project costs.
- Research fellow – You provide funding to support an academic position at any level – from early career researchers through to more senior academics.
- Research chair – You provide ongoing funding to support a full-time senior academic position with the purpose of significantly accelerating research in a particular field.
