UTS is collaborating with government, industry and philanthropists to turn the vision for the National First Nations College into reality.
Founding Friends

Adam Bray (General Manager, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy and Affairs and First Nations Advisory Board Member, Woolworths Group), Professor Michael McDaniel AO (Special Advisor (Indigenous Priorities) to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Technology Sydney) and Professor Robynne Quiggin (Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Leadership and Engagement), University of Technology Sydney), as they pass the College message stick to welcome Woolworths Group into Gumal, the College friendship circle.
Gumal
Gumal is the word for friendship in Gadigal language and the name dedicated to the College friendship circle. Gumal friends are transforming lives and shaping our country’s future through this historic opportunity. Together we will create a new future for Australia that celebrates and cherishes the oldest living culture on Earth. We give our deepest gratitude to the visionary change-makers that have already joined the campaign.
