Your rights and responsibilities
The main way that UTS defines your rights and responsibilities as students at UTS is through a set of formal student rules and policies.
Rules and policies are routinely reviewed and approved by the relevant UTS committee. If you are interested in standing as a student representative on one of these committees go to student representation.
Student declaration
When you enrol at UTS, you sign the Student Declaration agreeing to certain responsibilities and acknowledging certain ways that UTS will deal with your information.
Student rights and responsibilities
The Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy outlines your rights and responsibilities.
International students have additional rights and responsibilities as determined by UTS and the Australian government. You may breach your visa conditions if you do not fulfil your responsibilities, so please read them carefully. Visit the rights and responsibilities page for international students to learn more.
