Environment and society
Climate change now makes daily impacts on all our lives, but societies have always been engaged with natural environments. Human societies are shaped by environments, and vice versa. Research centres on this eco-social nexus: how can urgent issues of human-environmental impacts — like climate change, loss of biodiversity, genetic modification and nuclear power and waste generation — be engaged with social justice and with cultural diversity?
