I’ve always admired and enjoyed UTS’s practical approach to learning. The teachers have always gone that extra step to make the content we’ve explored in class relevant and applicable to real-life scenarios.

I look forward to applying the skills, understandings and content developed at UTS to my first practicum next semester!

Teaching is the career for me. Working that out should’ve been the easiest part, but the flexibility and expertise of the people I had the privilege of learning from and alongside at UTS made becoming a teacher feel like the easy part.

I truly feel the UTS Master of Teaching in Secondary Education was the best possible preparation for my teaching career. It is a course that readies our future teachers for the experience of real classrooms in NSW and beyond.

I loved the hands on focus of UTS and I felt this approach would be beneficial and important for a practical career like teaching.

The flexibility of UTS, in allowing me to select the tutorials and times that best worked my schedule, allowed me to work as a casual teacher 3 days a week during the last semester of my studies. This opportunity allowed me to develop roots and experience teaching in schools so that as soon as my studies were completed, I was offered a permanent teaching position through the Graduate Recruitment Program.
