Professor Mark Evans is UTS's Interim Dean of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building. Mark is an experienced senior manager with over 15 years in higher education leadership roles.

Mark joined UTS in November 2014 as Head of the School of Communication. He also held the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise Learning) for two years.
Prior to UTS, Mark was the Head of Department for Media, Music, Communication and Cultural Studies at Macquarie University from November 2008 to 2014.
In curriculum design, Mark has overseen the development of multiple successful programs, across varied disciplines, over many years. In commercialising curriculum, Mark has worked with clients such as the Aga Khan Development Network to deliver cutting-edge curriculum in international contexts. Mark has worked extensively in international spheres and has developed an array of international partnerships for joint-curriculum and research initiatives.
