We all know that a picture tells a thousand words. Join us for a chat with photographer Susan Papazian who will give us insight into how she used photography to tell a story of Darlinghurst. We will also launch her collection, 100 Faces of Darlinghurst, that will be displayed in the foyer of Yirranma Place.

What do you hear when you walk through Darlinghurst? Join us for a chat with historian and audio producer Catherine Freyne, who has created histories of the suburb through sound. We will also officially launch her 6 short audio stories on the history of Darlinghurst at the event.
Streets of Darlinghurst: Launch of the Darlinghurst City of Sydney Historical Walking Tour

When you walk through Darlinghurst, you are following streets and paths that many before you have walked and if you look closely, you can learn about the many lives that were lived. Join us to launch the work of historian Mark Dunn who has mapped out a new historical walking tour of Darlinghurst which will be available on the City of Sydney’s Culture Walks App.
Podcasting for Social Change

Join the Executive Producer of the Life's Lottery podcast, Olivia Rosenman, along with the Manager of UTS Impact Studios, Dr Sarah Gilbert, for a chat about how podcasts can help confront tough issues like disadvantage in Australia.
Community Histories

Darlinghurst is an 80 Ha triangle of land home to many. There are also those that used to call it home, those who move through the area on their way to work or school, or those who visit purely for pleasure. Meet the people who have been talking with these communities.
My Darling Darlinghurst

Meet the authors of the edited collection, My Darling Darlinghurst, a work in progress. It will be a history of place and community that will weave together voices and imagery from the past and present.

Who gets forgotten and who is heard in the historical record is partly thanks to the archive and what records have been preserved. We’ve invited some of Darlinghurst’s wonderful local archivists who are doing their best to record and uncover the many voices of those who have lived and loved in Darlinghurst. At this event you'll hear from Deborah Beck (NAS), Shannon Biederman (SJM), Prue Heath (SCEGGS) and Anne Cooke (St Vincent's Hospital).
