A fishy supply chain
How the Internet of Things and Blockchain are assisting food supply chains.
The UTS Network and Cybersecurity team are developing next-generation Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain technologies to empower the Australian Food Industry.
In particular, we are developing IoT technologies to achieve real-time tracking across food production and transport. Blockchain data platforms are developed to secure IoT data records and enable trusted data sharing. Smart contracts are developed to automate supply chain management.
Blockchain enabled mobile Apps are developed for consumers to achieve verifiable provenance and traceability.
- We are working with Sydney Fish Market, Food Agility CRC, and Ultimo Digital Technologies to bring trust and efficiency to the seafood supply chain from catch to market.
- We are working with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), JOC Australia, Japanese Ohira Farm, and Ultimo Digital technologies to tackle food fraud and restore trust in the food economy.
