Quality and standards
UTS has implemented a quality improvement approach of continuous improvement across all aspects of its planning, project management and operational activities.
The university demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement through:
- its planning, budget and performance reporting cycle, which includes measuring its performance on a range of key indicators
- undertaking a range of student, graduate and stakeholder surveys to track and improve the quality of teaching, learning and the student experience
- its annual course performance report cycle
- process improvement projects.
As part of this quality management approach, UTS benchmarks its performance, ideas and practices against other organisations and reviews its activities and processes.
UTS has developed its own Academic Standards Framework to ensure high quality outcomes for students and beneficiaries of research, engagement and other academic activities. The framework aligns with the Commonwealth Government’s Higher Education Standards Framework.
Our Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) registration was renewed for a period of 7 years to December 2030.
