Our research program is situated at the intersection of popular, professional and academic histories. It includes collaborative research and commissioned projects that cluster around five research nodes.

- Historical Culture and Creative Histories: examines the creative tensions, possibilities and limitations of history-making outside the academy.
- Design + History: looks at the past, present and future of design, material culture and cultural history
- History of work & technology: exploring methods and platforms for understanding histories of work, technology and political economy.
- Histories of Knowledge and Education: the Histories of Knowledge and Education node explores education, institutions, and learning across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences
