Privacy and policy
UTS, like all educational institutions in Australia, is obliged under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) (opens an external site) to provide students with a disability with the same educational opportunities as everyone else.
The Disability Standards for Education 2005 were formulated under the DDA to provide a framework to ensure that students with disability are able to access and participate in education on the same basis as other students. These standards set out to provide further clarity and specificity to both education and training providers as well as students with a disability.
The UTS Access and Inclusion Plan 2020–2024 reflects our commitment to moving beyond principles of accommodation, to a culture that celebrates the contributions of people with diverse abilities within our community.
