Day 3 (UTS)
“The writing and publishing day was the most useful to me. I just hoped this topic was spread out in more days. Getting my abstract reviewed by another researcher enlightened me a bit to how I should write when I write” — InSPiRE participant
“I have learned invaluable practical skills beyond the laboratory settings that I wished I was informed at the start of my PhD. This was especially true for all topics — writing for publication and thesis, working in collaboration/teams, managing supervisor's expectations and the importance to network as early as possible. Good food. Great speakers. I had to honestly admit that visiting 5 university in 5 days can be tiring and difficult, yet inspirational. Each unique campus experience were pleasant and widening my career scope and horizon beyond where I am. Finally, the emphasis on self-discipline, self-motivation and self-development were crucial as we are no longer just student but early-career researchers in development” — InSPiRE participant
“I liked the Publishing day at UTS — particularly the librarian's presentation” — InSPiRE participant
“I liked Day 3 — practical tips about doing the PhD, writing, and publishing” — InSPiRE participant
“Learning unexpected tips/references (like the abstract format technique at UTS, doing YouTube tutorials to learn NVIVO, etc)” — InSPiRE participant
