InSPiRE 2014
InSPiRE 2014 was a week-long postgraduate school that provided expert training and professional development for higher degree research students to promote high quality, collaborative and interdisciplinary research. The program was initiated by Edith Cowan University in 2013, as a summer school for WA University research students and then spread to other states.
The 2014 program featured guest speakers, interactive workshops and networking events. It aimed to encourage postgraduate researchers to interact with students from other universities to share resources and expertise, develop new collaborations and networks valuable for their future careers.
The aim of the event was to provide postgraduate researchers with a wide-ranging research education program that would connect up to 250 postgraduate research students and support them to develop the skills required to pursue collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
Events were held at each university and participants attended each day. There were two networking events with opportunities to meet with research collaborators in industry, business, government and the not-for-profit sectors.
