Over the past few decades, global markets have dramatically changed.
About the Centre for Behavioural Science and Policy Design
Changing geo-political landscapes, trade agreements and disruption of established markets due to the development of new technology have all had a major impact on how businesses operate and the policy required to enable long-term and stable markets.
And it’s not just the businesses that are changing.
Social media, search engine algorithms, influencers, and events such as global pandemics, conflict, and unstable economies all impact how consumers behave, their values, and how they engage with markets on a local and global scale.
— Isa Hafalir, Centre Director
At the Centre for Behavioural Science and Policy Design, we’ve brought together economists, business analysts, policy experts, and experimental and data scientists to solve social, political, economic, and managerial problems.
Through our research, we are growing our understanding of human behaviour at the micro and macro scale and developing tools that enable businesses, governments and communities on a local and global scale to navigate a changing society, build an effective marketplace and develop policy that enables a robust, inclusive and fair ecosystem.
Our research is focused on real-world problems and applications. We work with government, industry and peak bodies to analyse human behaviour, solve resource allocation problems, devise educational and environmental policies, and inform public policy design.
