Associate Professor Jane Hunter
Jane Hunter’s expertise is in curriculum, digital learning and pre-service and in-service teacher education. She was a classroom teacher and has held leadership roles in schools, in government bureaucracies in education policy and in large-scale technology innovation programs. Her most recent work seeks to ensure our most disadvantaged schools are well resourced and the quality of teaching is engaging and motivating in every classroom. Jane co-hosts the Talking Teachers podcast which discusses current issues in Australian education that are not being canvassed in other media.

Dr Don Carter specialises in working with teachers to investigate innovative writing pedagogies to improve student performance and outcomes not only in English, but across the curriculum. Don’s research expertise is also drawn from his experiences as a classroom English teacher, head of department and as an ESL consultant with primary and secondary schools in south-western Sydney as well as English Inspector at the NSW Educational Standards Authority. Don co-hosts the Talking Teachers podcast with Jane Hunter.

Professor of Nursing Aged Care (Dementia) Deborah Parker  
Professor Parker leads the ageing research program for the Improving Palliative, Aged and Chronic Care through Clinical Research and Translation Centre at UTS; and is co-lead on End of Life Directions in Aged Care, to improve palliative care and advance care planning for older Australians.
