Maintenance request form
Report all maintenance issues online via the maintenance request form.
Day and overnight guest registrations
All guests must register at the kiosks within the Yura Mudang foyer and should wait for you in the foyer area. They should be with you at all times and cannot wander around the building on their own.
Please note that during the official UTS Housing exam period, no guests are allowed to ensure that all residents can prepare and work on their assignments or exams; no exceptions.
Rules regarding guests in general:
- Outside day guests and Overnight guests – Up to one guest per resident is permitted onsite. Guests should be with the resident at all times.
For overnight guests, one overnight guest is allowed for a maximum of 3 consecutive nights. All overnight guests must be registered at the kiosks within Yura Mudang's foyer upon their arrival. - Please remember not to give your key card to anyone at any time – no exceptions.
If you need assistance, UTS Housing and Security staff can help give your guest access with your written permission.
Periodic audits and checks by UTS Security will also be made. Any breach of the above rules will lead to disciplinary action, fines, guest bans and may impact future applications to UTS Housing.
Social gathering request
If you intend to have a social gathering with 15 or more people, you have to submit a social gathering request, 3 working days in advance by emailing us at .housing.service@uts.edu.au
Bike Club
UTS Housing has a bike club which is free for all UTS residents (only).
Join the club and book your bike for 24 hours via the online booking site.

Fire procedure
The UTS Housing Service follows the Australian Government Fire Safety Certification Requirement for its student residence, Yura Mudang. View the detailed report showing fire and safety devices provided at UTS Housing.
Missing person procedure
The UTS Housing Service requires residents to follow the Missing Resident Notification Procedures (PDF 33KB, three pages) to ensure that relatives can be notified in the event of their disappearance.
Sexual assault, indecent assault & sexual harassment
At UTS Housing we value diversity in our community and we believe everyone has the right to live, study and work safely in a welcoming and homely environment. We are proud to be an active member of the national Respect.Now.Always. campaign that aims to eliminate sexual harm on Australian campuses and make UTS Houisng a safe and welcoming community for everyone.
Before checking in at UTS Housing, you are required to complete the compulsory Consent Matters module. This training is about appropriate behaviour and positive intervention, to ensure all members of our community have a shared understanding of healthy relationships and can help if they see unacceptable situations.
