REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2025 COMPETITION ARE NOW OPEN. REGISTER HERE

Have a business idea that could be life-changing for the people around you? Maybe one that makes an impact on the planet? Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to take a stab at starting up a business but don’t quite know where to start?

Then the IBISWorld 3P Competition is for you - a free innovation and entrepreneurship program for UTS students and HDRs to grow their ideas into real start-ups and win a share of $25,000. All you need is yourself or a team and we’ll bring the industry experts to help explore your ideas and nurture them to life. Join us over six weeks as mentors guide you one on one to develop a winning business model, distinguish yourself from competitors and deliver a mind-blowing pitch. The top 6 teams will get the opportunity to pitch to a panel of experts to win a share of $25,000 in prize money.

So, what are you waiting for? Let your ideas blossom and grow them to life. Registrations are now open, visit 3Ps.uts.edu.au to find out more.

The 3P gives students the chance to explore creative and innovative business ideas whilst being mentored by highly regarded industry experts.

Students are required to develop a new, innovative product/idea or service associated with the 3P (People, Planet, Profit). Teams learn to develop their ideas into a viable business case, submitting a 3Pitch for judging. The top five 3Pitches will be selected to pitch to a panel of experts to win a share of $25,000.00.

Previous winners include an on-demand hiring service for contractors, industrial lift, a digital textbook service, safer, fashionable and practical scooter attire, crowd sourced fashion website, an online art platform, thermoelectric generation devices and a home automation system.

The competition has been proudly supported by IBISWorld since 2013.

What to expect

Students will have the opportunity to meet with mentors to discuss their startup ideas and develop their 3Pitch. The 3Pitches are then submitted for judging, and six finalists are chosen to pitch to the judging panel for final assessment.

3P Win a share of 25K

1st Place $12,000
2nd Place $8,000
