  This course is only offered offshore in Shanghai. The language of tuition is Modern Standard Chinese. This course is offered through the Sydney Institute of Language and Commerce, Shanghai University.

  This course is an opportunity for engineers, technical specialists and non-technical professionals to build and stretch their managerial skills and integrate their business and technical knowledge. It is designed to emphasise the interface between engineering, technology and management. The integration of carefully tailored coursework and an independent project ensures you will understand the professional, societal and environmental context and have developed a range of management and engineering capabilities to respond to it.

  The MEM program provides an opportunity for you to challenge yourself at the master's level, deepen your skills and knowledge and gain a competitive edge in industry.

  The MEM has been specifically designed to emphasise the interface between engineering, technology and management. • Course duration arrow_forward_ios

  With 24 credit points of credit recognition applied, the course duration is 1.33 years of part-time study if two subjects are taken per teaching period (the Chinese academic year is broken into three sessions). The program is structured for block mode attendance.

• Admission requirements arrow_forward_ios

  To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria.

  Applicants must have one of the following:

  • Completed master’s or doctoral degree, or overseas equivalent

  OR

  • Completed bachelor's degree, graduate diploma or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)

  Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.

  Inherent requirements are academic and non-academic requirements that are essential for successfully completing a course at UTS. You can find the inherent requirements for your course via the inherent requirements directory.

• Recognition of prior learning arrow_forward_ios

  Students may be eligible for up to a total of 24cp of subject exemptions based on recognition of prior learning (RPL) as follows:

  • Students who have completed subjects deemed by the faculty as being equivalent subjects in a postgraduate program or UTS recognised undergraduate engineering program of a minimum of 4 years or equivalent.
  • Subject exemption is applicable only to 24cp from CBK90927 Options (MEM).

  Other/additional RPL may be granted via subject substitution to an alternative/advanced postgraduate subject in a similar field of study.

  To be considered for recognition of prior learning, subjects must normally have been completed no more than ten years prior to the commencement of this course.
