What you’ll study

Studying at Sydney’s leading provider of sport management education means you’ll receive a holistic, to-the-minute education, where you’ll acquire the capabilities and attributes in demand by industry. This course provides an introduction to the sport industry environment alongside an awareness of management skills relevant to this sector. The program includes subjects that develop a critical understanding of sport management across the areas of business, globalisation, governance, and sport for social impact in both the Australian and international contexts.

The course is developed and delivered in collaboration with industry experts from the field, with each subject comprising of a mix of sport management concepts and real-world practice. Research-inspired course content is delivered by world-leading academics and industry partners, which allows students to apply knowledge and understanding across different domains of the sport industry. It offers introductory skill sets needed for managers to operate in the sport industry.
To be eligible for admission to this course, applicants must meet the following criteria.

Applicants must have one of the following:
- Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent
OR
- A minimum of 4 years full-time or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND a general capacity to undertake tertiary education
Relevant professional experience refers to any current work experience in which you have developed skills, knowledge, and competencies directly related to the course for which you are applying. This includes roles such as managers, professionals, technicians, community, personal service, clerical, administrative, or sales workers across various industries.

Supporting documentation to be submitted with the application

For applicants who need to demonstrate work experience:
- Curriculum Vitae AND Statement of service in one of the following formats:
  - A 'Statement of Service' provided by the employer
  - A completed 'UTS statement of service’ signed by the employer
  - A statutory declaration confirming work experience (for Australian Residents only)
  - An official letter from the applicant’s accountant or solicitor on their company letterhead confirming the applicant’s work experience or engagement with the business, duration of operations, and the nature of the business
  - A business certificate of registration in original language and English (e.g. provision of ASIC documentation or ABN or similar documentation for Australian Businesses)

As a postgraduate student, you'll be responsible for covering your own tuition fees.

- Indicative total tuition fee: $32,280.00
You can choose to pay your fees upfront per session, or if you’re eligible, you can defer them using a government FEE-HELP loan. This loan helps you cover all or part of your tuition fees. Keep in mind that applications for this loan are specific to each course.

Additional Costs

Your tuition fees do not include:
- The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), which supports student services and activities. If eligible, you can defer this fee using SA-HELP.
- Textbooks, materials, and other course-related costs.
- Any applicable payment processing fees (e.g., credit card surcharges).
