Online examinations

As with any new technology online assessment tools take time to learn and require careful planning if their implementation is not going to increase workload or add cost to Faculties. Lecturers at UTS using online assessment suggest:
- Question design is most important
- Invigilate summative examinations
- Students appreciate the opportunity to try out sample questions and can provide valuable feedback through access to the same randomised selection of questions
- Computer laboratories are often booked for classes making it difficult for students to get time to sit for examinations in the laboratories unless they are specifically reserved for that purpose
