UTS has the state's most in-demand Bachelor of Business
UTS’s innovative Bachelor of Business course remains as popular as ever for undergraduate students.
The Bachelor of Business at UTS continues its reign as the state’s most popular business degree for the seventh year in a row. Once again also placing as the second most preferred course overall in NSW for 2024 with 956 students listing it as their first preference to study, according to information released by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
When asked why she chose the degree Bachelor of Business student Anna X. said,
During high school, I didn't know what to do after graduating and I needed something that was broad to start with and with this degree you can go into so many different industries and companies. After your first year, you learn what it is you want to do with your major and for me that was marketing.
The Bachelor of Business degree has been designed to give students a strong grounding in fundamental business concepts combined with the flexibility to customise the course and explore 8 majors, 3 second majors, 31 sub-majors, and 5 major extensions as well as electives from Business or any other degree, making it one of the most dynamic business courses in Australia.
Dr. Anurag Hingorani, Bachelor of Business Director said,
The sustained demand for the Bachelor of Business degree at UTS reflects our philosophy of continuous improvement to better meet the needs of students and the business profession. The collective voice of current and past students as well as industry advisors and associations has been significant in shaping the degree which is relevant to a diverse student body who can pursue their specific learning goals and career aspirations.
With a strong focus on technology, the broader social impact of business and industry, and gaining real-world industry experience, the degree also allows students to combine their Business studies with degrees in Science, Molecular Biotechnology, Public Health, Information Systems, Secondary Education, Law, IT, Engineering, Sustainability and Environment, Medical Science, International Studies and Creative Intelligence and Innovation.
We are consistently developing the Bachelor of Business program with a strong emphasis on equipping students to tackle real-world problems and inspiring them to drive change from the outset of their career journey, regardless of which profession they decide to pursue
says Professor Sara Denize, UTS Business School Associate Dean (Education).
