Economics at UTS
Everyday individuals, businesses and governments make decisions about their goals within the constraints of time, money and other finite resources. From the social to the environmental, the labour market to government policy, studying Economics develops skills and knowledge that help us understand the world around us and to contribute to change.
Economics trains people to think analytically and clearly about a wide range of issues. It helps us better understand the world in which we live.
In a world where we are more connected to one another than ever before – globally – the Study of Economics becomes extremely important.
Economics complements many other fields of study, including Environmental Science, Law, Psychology, Information Technology, Health, Politics and Mathematics, as well as other business disciplines.
Economics at UTS comprises a dynamic, fast-growing group of enthusiastic researchers and experienced teachers. We offer courses at the undergraduate, Honours, Masters and PhD level, and our research is highly ranked internationally.
The Economics Department is located in the magnificent Gehry designed Dr Chau Chak Wing Building.
